Testimony
I was raised in a Christian home. My family was in church every time the doors were open. My parents were and still are Godly examples in my life. I had a very ideal situation having heard of Jesus and His love my entire life. When I was 5 I started asking questions about Christ and what He did for me on the cross, but I didn’t accept Jesus Christ as my Savior until I was 9 years old. I thank God that my life was changed at such a young age. After I accepted Christ my wants, thoughts, and desires started to change. I slowly began to learn how to know Christ more.
It wasn’t until my first year of college that I truly learned what it meant to have a deep, meaningful relationship with Christ. After I learned how to start growing in the Lord through His word and prayer, my life started transforming more and more. The things that He has taught me and led me through from that point on are so incredible. I could share those things all day.
On December 29, 1999 I answered my call into full-time Christian ministry. I knew that the Lord had a plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11-13) and I wanted to serve Him with my whole heart. About 1 ½ years after I accepted that call, I joined Someday Heaven as lead/background vocalist and have been with them ever since.
The cry of my heart is to seek the Lord with all that’s in me (Matthew 6:33). I want to love Him and be loved by Him. I want to know Him and be known by Him. I want to reach out to young people and help them understand what it truly means to live a life of worship. Worship isn’t just singing…worship is a lifestyle. It’s living a life that is pleasing to the Lord Sunday through Saturday. I also want them to understand that one "cannot" grow in the Lord or expect to live this Christian life without God’s word and prayer. Those things are necessary.
