Jerren Hawkins

My life with Christ began when I was eight years old. I asked Jesus into my life in 1985 at Dayspring Tabernacle. I grew up in church and did not really understand everything, but I knew that I wanted to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. From that point on, my relationship with Christ grew, but of course, along the path, I hit many obstacles that stood between me and my relationship with the Lord. There were times in my life when I didn’t want to have anything to do with God or church. But God had a different plan for my life and I began to realize this even more. When I was 15 years old, I became more involved in my church and my relationship with Christ grew stronger. I began playing the drums, and then I decided to join the praise and worship team at Dayspring. Since then, my life has been on a one-way street with Christ. I still struggle in lots of ways, but I daily grow stronger in my relationship with Christ.
